It was at a place I never been before.
A dark ally I have never seen, But it was where I needed to be, For my appointment at 4:15, The receptionist greeted me, As I was coming in, She looked like she was The only person there And she greets me with a grin. "You are right on time, So he will see you now." In my hand I held an appointment card Not ever knowing how. "Who is he?" I asked, As if i didn't know. She said, "its God, The actual God! And he doesn't like a show." So I of course walk on in, Not knowing what to expect. There stood a black man in white, who instantly had my respect. "Are you really God?" I asked As I was skeptical his looks He said "yes Kelly, I am. I have all your baby books!" "So that nurse works for you? Is not that a pain?" God said "my son, her and I Are one the same." Not knowing what to say I try to clear my face of awe God not missing a beat, Knew exactly what I saw. "Correct" he said, "is the path that you are treading on. May I interfere. You are doing some things wrong. "Just stay on your path, & help to free the slaves And always try to remember, To brush twice each day." Then with a pat on the shoulder He sent me on my way, "I am a very busy guy, I have appointments everyday day. But I said I would get back to you, This I now have done, So always respect others And try to have a little fun." I left after that Not knowing what to say, Most my questions he had answered In his godly sort of way, As I walked out the door His whole office disappears And I was called to work Now rid of all my fears. The sun was never up, The clock says 5:45, My alarm wakes me up, Congratulations I'm alive. Ive never seen God in my dreams. Or the element of time. Is it possible this was something more? Perhaps a gift from the Divine?
